AIMS & CODE OF PRACTICE
Bright Star believes in a holistic approach to Childcare and Education which includes working in partnership with parents and the authorities to provide consistent high quality childcare which meets the needs of the individual child.
Our nursery is divided into three age groups, each area of the building caters for specific stages with appropriate equipment and facilities to promote your child’s independence, confidence and intellectual growth.
It is our aim to provide care and an early learning environment, which is tailored to each individual child’s needs, in a safe, secure, happy and relaxed surroundings.
Code of Practice:
To provide for the diverse and challenging needs of each child enabling them to participate in activities that seek to enhance their intellectual, creative, spiritual, social, physical and emotional individual growth.
To offer children the experience of communication and socialism with people regardless of race, culture, creed or special needs.
To offer and support a stimulating and varied learning environment, to enable each child to reach their full potential. To ensure all children encounter equal opportunities, respect and an anti-discriminatory environment when on Bright Star Premises.
To work in partnership with parent/carers for the benefit of the child.
To actively maintain and pursue high ethical standards which openly encourages communication with other agencies.

EMERGENCY CHILD CARE
Emergency childcare is there to assist parents who may experience a breakdown in care. This can happen unexpectedly, for example your regular nanny or childminder has called in sick and family members are unavailable or you have been called to attend an important business meeting.
We are here to provide for and meet the needs of parents. Whether it’s a last minute booking or emergency care which was booked months in advance, you can be confident that your child will be in a secure environment and cared for by experienced staff.
We try to keep our costs as low as possible, depending on parents' needs. We charge £80 per day. This includes all meals. There is no additional charge.
To book emergency childcare please contact the nursery to check availability. Once availability has been confirmed you can then state time and date you require emergency childcare. On arrival day you will be asked to complete a registration form.
MOBILE CRECHE
Bright Star Mobile Creche provides affordable, flexible, fun and quality childcare solutions to businesses, organisations and individuals. Our aim is to increase and improve attendance in all social and business events throughout London and surrounding Counties.
We will transform your empty space into a safe and secure environment for children and provide fun and age appropriate activities while their parents are engaged in work conferences, meetings, training courses, exams, weddings, various events and functions.
We work closely with inspection bodies like Ofsted. Our friendly team are experienced and fully qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 and 3 in childcare, and undergo regular training sessions to keep them up to date with Ofsted regulations.
Our minimum staffing ratios are in line with Ofsted ratios of:
3 months - 2 years = 1 staff to every 3 children
2 years - 3 years = 1 staff to every 5 children
3 years to 5 years = 1 staff to every 8 children
